General Memberships
For those individuals who would like to work out on their own Progressive offers general fitness center memberships. General memberships are great for individuals who prefer to work out on their own without the continual instruction of a personal trainer.

Spinning
Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle called (obviously enough) a spinning bike. As you pedal, motivating music plays and the instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout: "You're going up a long hill now, you can't see the top yet.…" During the class you vary your pace -- sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus inwardly and work on your mind as well as your body.

Spinning burns serious calories (about 450-600 in 45 minutes) and offers an awesome aerobic workout that makes your heart pump fast. It also tones your quadriceps (front thigh muscles) and outer thigh muscles like nobody's business! Because you stay in one place with the same basic movement throughout, Spinning doesn't involve a lot of coordination; it's easier to concentrate on your form than in other types of aerobic classes. And although you follow the general instructions of the spinning teacher, you are in control when it comes to your pace. You can finish a spin class, regardless of your fitness level, simply by adjusting your pace or the tension knob on the bike.

 

BootCamp
Boot camp workouts are efficient because you work your entire body, heart and muscles. You will go from one exercise to a little or no rest. Performed in a group setting the workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises. Do you like working out in a group environment? Do you like to be pushed and encouraged?

Our Boot Camp is a great way lose weight, get in shape, and make some new friends.

 

Personal Training
If you desire the continual aid and instruction of a certified personal trainer let the staff at Progressive help. Our nationally certified trainers can give you the knowledge, structure, tips and accountability to help you reach your fitness goals. Whether your goal is to loose weight or build muscle come see the Progressive difference.

Group Personal Training
Working with a personal trainer can always increase your likelihood of achieving attainable goals but not always affordable to everyone, now it can be with group personal training. Group training allows you to work with a small group of friends or others interested in achieving similar goals. If interested in group training please ask the front desk for more details.

 
Pilates
This class offers you a body balancing system that strengthens, lengthens, realigns and defines your body. Pilates is an exercise-based system that aims to develop the body's "centre" in order to create a stable core for all types of movement. Eventually the body will move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort. Postural changes as well as increased flexibility are only a few of the benefits Pilates provides.

 
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point is a form of Myofascial Release Therapy. This therapy can be used independently or as an adjunct to massage therapy. Trigger Point Therapy has been succesful for individuals looking to reduce pain associated with plantar fasciatis, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, back pain, shin splints, fibromyalgia and knee and hip problems.

Premiere Physique
For those who may need a little extra help getting started, Progressive Health & Fitness offers two different twelve week packages that will give you the training, knowledge, structure, tools, and accountability to reach your fitness goals. Both packages include a fitness evaluation, goal setting, a personalized nutrition plan, a daily nutrition and exercise journal, an exercise and nutritional reference manual, as well as a 3 month unlimited fitness center membership.

The Premiere Physique program is great for those who need the accountability of a personal trainer but do not have an unlimited budget.
